STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM
My school held student exchange
program. The program held in Magelang and Cilacap district. The participants
were all of the student in grade VIII Junior High School 3 Kebumen. I was placed in
Magelang. My
friends and I
went to Magelang on Sunday at 1.00 pm by car.
First,
we went to Junior High School 2 Magelang. I was surprised with the school because
the school was smaller than my school. But, as I knew that mosque is bigger
than my school’s
mosque in Kebumen. After that, we
walking around the school yard and observed to adapt with new environment.
On
the first lesson, I enjoyed the condition but in other side I felt
disappointed. The students from Magelang were very disrespectful with the
teacher from Kebumen. So, it made me didn’t want to continue this class. In my
opinion, a good situation could be built by
respected
to each other.
The second day, I followed the journey
to Senior High School of Taruna Nusantara by public transportation. I was proud
because I could visit the one of
the most favorite senior high school in Central of Java. I learned many
activities in class and
in out of
class. The Taruna’s students were
very discipline, so that it becomes a good model of success students. After we
joined the school touring, we continued the trip to Kyai Langgeng Park to refreshing.
We
got sport lesson in third day. I had funny experience when we played volley
ball. I hit one of the girl with a ball but I was not deliberate. At the time,
I came to her and ask her to forgive me. I was happy when she gave me a smile.
It was a signal that she forgave me.
The last days, we joined the lesson as
usual. We tried to make unforgettable experience with joined many activities
well. For example, we followed the lesson more enthusiasm than usual. At the
break time, we went to canteen and ate the favorite food in the school, so we can
remember the special menu.
After following student exchange
program, I got many knowledges
and experiences. One of them is how to be an autonomous and disciplinary
student because I didn’t live with my parents there. It made me resolve the problem alone and I could
learn to become a college student. I think it was nice an unforgettable moment
as long as junior high school’s student.
